During the Presidency, Denmark will lead a great number of political negotiations in the EU and is also responsible for convening meetings and conferences in connection with the political agenda.
Areas of cultural policy
During the Presidency, the Ministry of Culture is responsible for leading negotiations in four main areas:
- Film and media
- Culture
- Sport
- Copyright
The work will take place in four working parties that are to prepare the Council Meeting for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport in May 2012.

Cultural marking of the Presidency
The Presidency is also an opportunity to mark Denmark culturally. The cultural marking is organised by the Danish Arts Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
